The Howe Trust (Wheatley) for the last 6 years, have been organising and delivering Christmas Food Hampers to support the most vulnerable families (those eligible for free school meals) who attend our village primary and secondary schools. These are Wheatley Park, Wheatley Primary and John Watson Special School.
This year a total of 195 families are eligible across all 3 schools - this year it's expected that the initiative could cost as much as £9,000. Do take a look at their Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/howetrustchristmashamper

Almighty God,
who gave such grace to your apostle Saint Andrew
that he readily obeyed the call of your Son Jesus Christ
and brought his brother with him:
call us by your holy word,
and give us grace to follow you without delay
and to tell the good news of your kingdom;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
