In 2026 we are having a think about who we are as St. Mary's Church, Wheatley.
There is so much that happens here to make us who we are and enable us to do what we do!!
Together we are building a picture so that all parts may be acknowledged and valued.
Which parts are you involved in?
Are there any parts that you feel drawn to find out more about or help with?
Is there anything here that might need to change?
Have you noticed anything that is not on here that you think could be?
Ascension Day Picnic
🍞🍰🍇All are welcome to join us for a picnic in the vicarage garden
(through the green gate in the churchyard)
from 5.30pm onwards - bring your own picnic and something to sit on 😎🍉🌽
If the weather is wet we will postpone until a sunnier day!
Christian Aid Week - May 10th to 16th - 2026

🔥☺️ Let's cover the cost of our heating together!
100 of us giving £10 a month will do it!!
We now know that it will cost about £1000 a month to run our under floor heating- which sounds a lot but is SO VERY worth it! It is a brilliant resource. That little extra warmth we have enjoyed over the past few months has really made a difference - in services and during the week. We have enabled more to come into church during the winter and to feel comfortable. We have also been able to provide a warm space to many in the community at a time when bills are so expensive.
This is all part of our aim to be as welcoming as possible and to enable as many people as possible to share this very special space.
Could you offer £10 a month to help? 100 people signing up will cover the cost! There is a sign up sheet at the back of church or you can let me know at vicar@stmarys.org
THANK YOU!!

God our redeemer,
you have delivered us from the power of darkness
and brought us into the kingdom of your Son:
grant, that as by his death he has recalled us to life,
so by his continual presence in us he may raise us to eternal joy;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
